The Twin Run is back in 2023! Who can forget Mart’s epic run to raise awareness of the complications of twins? Despite injury and disappointment, he still managed to raise โ‚ฌ11,000 for twin research and helped fund a part-time TAPS researcher.

This year, we’re going global. Wear red and white, set yourself a challenge, and help us raise money to continue twin research in May.

About The Twin Run

In 2021, Mart Smit ran 150 kilometers over 3 days from Hoorn, to Alkmaar, to Leiden. His epic journey was to connect the 3 hospitals that looked after his twin sons and raise money to continue research into the complications of twins. His determination and energy inspired the researchers he was raising funds for, and they also joined the run.

This sense of community and fun inspired all of us to broaden our horizons this year and create a global event – where people can join from around the world and be a part of the fun, all while raising awareness of twin complications and research.
